If you want the new bike THAT bad then take your time and sell the F4i yourself. You'll get more for it anyway. I just did the same thing. I bought a used F4i last year, spent almost $1500 for mods, only to decide to upgrade to a 1000RR this year. I talked to a dealer about a trade, but they were going to *** rape me so I decided to sell it myself, which I did. I pulled all of the mods off and sold them separately.

It took a couple of weeks of work and making deals, but when it was all said and done I have a new 1000RR and my payment was nearly the same.

Just to clarify the price, I drove to Southern Honda. The price for the bike was $9700 when I bought it. I added the 5 yr wrty for $600. After sales tax I paid around $10,800. If I had bought from a local dealer I would have spent about $12,500 to get the same deal.

Honestly though, you've got a great bike man. Keep it and get caught up financially. You don't want to compound one bad deal with another.

It's simple then, just tell her to get her own bike

i just checked kbb.com and the suggested retail value is 93xx.... if i could get a dealer that low in my area i wouldnt mind taking a 2k hit on my other bike to have a much better bike... if i bring in the blue book on the 06 1000rr what are the chances of the dealer shrugging it off like it means nothing??

Do you have full coverage on the F4i. If so, try parking it outside for a while...see what happens.

Bro, This is what I will do and it is pretty much what everyone have said. I will hold off 'til I sell the bike or wait another year and make extra payments to bring your payoff down.
