What is the best tires for my bike?
I am looking at very soon having to replace the original Perrelli Corsas on my 2006 CBR 1k RR. I'm not a big fan of the current tires, but I'm not sure what tires would work best as a replacement. I have been looking at the Dunlop Qualifiers which I used on my 600 RR. They worked great on that bike but I've been told theywill shredon the 1k. I have also been looking at the Pirrelli Rosso's. I would like to get tires that I can get some good use time out of, but also that will warm up and hook up quickly. Any ideas?

I didn't like the stock Corsas either. I thought that they took too long to warm up and I had them slip on me a few times (not fun)
I have heard good things about Corsa IIIs, but I went with Pilot Powers and I love them! The warm up quick, turn nice and they seem to be lasting longer that my Corsa's. I read a comparrison between the Pilot Powers and the Dunlops and they were basically equal except the Qualifiers showed more wear than the PP (but they are a little cheaper)
I think you will be happy if you go with any of the above 3 listed tires.

Asking about a tire suggestion is like asking about what type of oil to use. If you have not already, I would do a search. You will find countless threads about tires.
It all comes down to what your looking to get out of the tire. How long you want the tire to last and how adhesive it will be for you. All tires have different profiles and compounds.
For me its theprofile of the tire that attracts me along with its ability to stick in warm and cold climates.Due to me living in Seattle,I also look at how the tires are rated for the rain.
I currently run thePilot Powers. I have had these tires on twodifferent bikes and it is what I am familiar with.I have had the Bridgestone Battlaxe 014's and like them. I have also rana set of Metzler's. Not sure what model themet's were, they were on the bike when I got it and was littletreadleft to them, but I was satisfied with them on the street for what little time I had them.
So I say go with what you are comfortable with. I have heard good things about the Qualifiers, but once again its a personal preferance.
Good luck with your choice, its not an easy one to make.

I didn't realize how good the Dunlops were until I switched back to bridgestone. When I first had the dunlops didn't really notice that much at the begining. But now that I have switched back to bridgestones I find that the dunlops had better traction and I could lean with more confidence than the bridgestones. And it also seemed smoother with the dunlops.
