'used' PC III USB for 1000RR

My 1000rr is all stock except for the turn lights.

I don't plan to mod it much since I don't plan to race.
For starters, I bought SS brake lines by Galfer and am planning to install 'em soon. And I have my mind set on this Laser X-treme exhaust for now.

I'm also thinking of getting a PC III USB from a friend who's reverting his 1000RR to stock. Since its an electronic component, I am wondering if buying 'new' makes any difference over buying 'used' ?

As long as it works the only difference is the wad of cash you'll be saving. As with most electronic gadgets if you keep 'em dry and don't bang 'em around they can last forever.

+1 on what Chain said, If it works now then go for it the only difference between new and used would be the map, and you can load your own in seconds so why not.

I never thought I'd get into modifications when I bought the bike
but I guess a good deal should never be missed !
