TIES????????????

What is the difference in the pirelli diablo corsa III and the super corsa? What do you think about the diablo strada on a 1krr?

RE: TIES????????????

The Super Corsa is a race tire made for the track. The Diablo III is a very good street tire, warms up quickly and used as an OEM tire for some of the manufactures. The Strada I'm not to familiar with so I won't comment on it.

I have the Diablo III's on my 1krr. I like them.

RE: TIES????????????

i would imagine the corsa III is a 70/30 track/street tire.

and i know the strada is a 50/50 track/street tire, just wondering if it will have a***uite traction for the 1krr,

I had a set of strada's on my 600RR and they lasted long and stuck well.
i dont do any track riding "yet"

This is pretty much Pirelli's Description and Classes of their tires:

Diablo Corsa III description- Hypersport Tires

Performance as soon as you need it;
- Confidence on normal roads and top performance on racetrack;
- Improved corner entry while still braking hard;
- Exploitation of your bike's potential to the utmost.

SuperCorsa description-Racing Tires

Shoulder areas designed to maximize contact patch area and length
Balanced elastic behaviour of carcass for stiffness in braking, precision and speed in cornering
High performance polymers providing high mechanical stability and top class performance throughout the race

Strada description-Street Tires

Ease of handling and road holding at high speed
- Wet performance and rapid temperature gain, constant grip and traction
powered by silica compound
- Stable at high speed, easy to control under braking and in cornering

JWP- I went through this so there are no opinions in this matter, just what Pirelli's facts are. I hope it helps.

I never used the Strada's so I can't give accurate info on them.

RE: TIES????????????

thanks, the strada's performed well on my 600RR, no slipage even with wheelies. I have seen some bikes try to wheelie up and the tire spin a slight amount before the front end comes up. to hard of a compound i would immagine.
