suzuki 750 compare to cbr 1000rr

Please share your experience
I wonder if anyone of you owend a 04/05 suzuki gsxr 750 and moved up to 06 cbr 1000rr... how the two bikes compare. I love my 04 gsxr 750 but got no idea on a 06 cbr 1000rr. I think the rr looks so hot and the name Honda you can always trust. ;)
Please tell me if you ever going to own two bikes from different companies, what the two would be?

RE: suzuki 750 compare to cbr 1000rr

Thats a tough call. I have a 99 900RR now and love it. I have yet to ride a 900RR as quick as mine......although Im sure they exist. Havent ridden a 1000RR but have rode the 954. Was nice and tight ergo wise, but brick ass seat and it liked to head shake very easy. Rode my bro's 01, Gix1000. NICE bike. Probably not down on power much compared to a 1000RR and damn sure lighter. Rode a freinds 03 R1. It was very similure to my bike both in how it sits, handles, and for power. It actually is down on power, but very comparable. Rode another friends 04 Gix1000. That is the ****. It handles nice, and the power delivery is miles smoother than my brothers, and it's comfy.......for a gixxer. Finally road an 04 Gix750. I was a little dissapointed to be honest. Ergos are about the same as it's big brother, but I was shocked at the lack of power it had. He was still breaking it in so I didnt get too nasty with it for very long, but I really expected more up on top. Again......less than my 900 and down low.....it wasnt even the same sport. It was like a 600. That is about the extent of my experience with the newer liter bikes and 3/4 liter. Hope this helps in some weird way. As for me........I've would opt for an 03 Gixxer 1000 if it were my money. That is the only thing i would replace my 900 with. Even then, I dont know I would replace it.....maybe just add.

RE: suzuki 750 compare to cbr 1000rr

I had an 00 gixxer 750 before the 1krr. I have to say, I like the new bike much better. Or course it has a **** load more power..... I like the adjustable hydraulic clutch, the low end power, just the overall bike I like better than my suzuki. The honda just seems more user friendly. To be honest the honda really never sees over 8 or 9k rpm too much because it just isn't necessary. My 750 stayed at 12k+ all the time. I keep it tach'd up around 5k for somewhat agressive backroad riding and it does better than my suzuki did at 9k. It took a little getting use to because it's a little heavier and it felt a little sluggish on turn in but the dealership had the suspension all screwed up. The leg ergos are way different because the pegs are significantly higher on the honda. I'm 6'1" with a 32" inseam so the difference was big time noticeable. It's all in what you want. To be honest, the newer bike seems to handle a little better than my old one, IMO. But you have to look at how far these bikes have came in the last 6 years. So, in my mind I think I upgraded. BUT, it's all in what you want. I wanted really good low end power and excellent top end power if I need it. If I wanted ok low end and blistering high end I would have gotten an R1 or 10r. Just about everyone on this site is going to tell you that their honda is better because it's a honda site. I was dead set on another suzuki and would be on one now if they hadn't tried to dick me over on price. I'm glad I got the honda, best bike I've ever ridden.

RE: suzuki 750 compare to cbr 1000rr

Thanks guys
I hear a lot of good things about cbr1000rr and can't wait to find out for myself how it feels compare to my 750. I have a good feeling Honda 1000rr not going to let me down. I think when it comes to comfort Honda wins in most cases, At least that's one of their goals... user friendly and comfortable. I never been on a liter bike but my 04 gixxer 750 is a great fast bike. What I really like about both bikes.... the way they look... very sharp.
Meyekul, You have a great point on the low end power with Honda... something gixxer not going to give you, Honda is going to be more comfortable because of that for street riding.
All I can say I would love them both unless the Honda is going to kick ass:D

I've gotten to ride an 05 gsxr 1k, 04 R1, and 05 zx 10r and I have to say I like my bike better. THe newer R1's are big over grown 600's, you have to crank on them to go anywhere. Well, compared to the 1krr.

if i was going to own another bike it would probably be the 06 gixxer 1k i was torn between that and the 1krr. me being on this website obviously shows what one i picked though.

The first thing you will notice is the seat. The '04 750 has an unbelievably comfortable seat. It was like strapping a pillow to your back-side. Once you get past that, you will forget all about the 750. The 1000rr is an unbelievable bike and way more comfortable than the new gixxer 1000. You will not be disappointed with the Honda!
