Steering damper
 

New to the site. I have the 06 Cbr 1000. I've done a bunch of after market upgrades and afew track days and was wondering if anybody has had any issues with the electronic steering damper? May be the rider, but have noticed that when in a turn with an increasing radius or the turn tightens up, the bike is really hard to push or lean further over.

Any of you guys noticed this or have any of you changed out your steering damper? I know Ohlins makes one for the bike and I'm thinking about the purchase. Don't like to go wide in the turns or cross that yellow line.[:-]

hey u know i think i have felt it. where it gets hard to make a sharp turn all of a sudden at the end of a turn. i have to slow down to make it or ill go out of the lane. sorry i dont know about the reliabily of the honda dampers but i know there is a test you can do before you buy a new damper. the test is on the forum you have to look for it though. let me know what you find out.
