Speedo ???
How is the speed read to the speedo..Is it off the crankshaft or ??? I thought I saw something in the shop manual about some sensor on the front wheel..
I went from a stock 16T drive sprocket to a 15T and speedo seams way off. Yes I know it will be off just wondering about where the speedo gets the reading from..Thank you for any help |
The speed sensor is mounted to the top of the crankcase. You have to remove the fuel tank to get to it.
What year do you have? I know where you can d/l a free 08-14 service manual that has pics of the location. Also, a SpeedoHealer can correct any speedometer error. I have one on my '08 with a -1/+0 gearing change from stock. It is now within 1 mph of the actual speed at 70 mph. |
Thanks Jeff. Its an 06 I have a shop manual for it already, thanks for the speedohealer info. Will look into one,,
