Default Specific query about Akrapovic slip-on for my 06 1000RR

I am kind of leaning towards a Akro slip-on exhaust for my re/black 1000RR and had some specific questions:

1. Is it relatively easy to install? [My skillset in tinkering with my bike is minimum]
2. Besides the exhaust, what other stuff would I need to buy? Heat shields, fender eliminator etc?
3. Can I use my current fender + rear blinkers, licence plate holder setup? [Ideally, I would like to]
4. Would I need any kind of remapping? PCIII etc?

My primarily goals are NOT these:
- Get a bangin' loud exhaust
- Get major increase in HP
- Save $

Am basically looking for something thats easy to install, wont harm my bike even on long rides, not too loud, and looks great.

Have I made the right choice? What about 1,2,3 and 4 above?

Thanks!!

Thanks for the input!
I like the way Akro looks and fits.

Any suggestions on a good place to buy, pricewise?

I just upgraded to an Akro afterI found the Jardine too loud although I loved the look. I'm now much happier overall with everything about the Akro. Your concerns mirror mine and I found the answer. I love it and it was easy to install. The pain in the *** came in disassembing the stock unit. I also added a PC and it is amazing. Responsive all over the tach range and smoother.

ok, I bought it!!

Got the Akro Hex Carbon slip-on from indybikesupply. Read some good reviews about them on the forum, so I thought I'd check them out. They also had a good price IMO. Was told to expect it tomorrow

Lets see how things pan out.

I will post pictures after I install it.

Thanks guys!
