Something to be proud of???

Well I bought my 06 Blue/yellow 1000RR in october up in michigan. I just moved down here to Florida a month ago. Anyway my wife and i were riding together yesterday I am 6'5 320 lbs she is 5'11 180 pounds we were at this light and these two bikes pulled up next to me. 1 was an 06 GSXR 600 and the other 02 GSXR 600 btw my bike is bone stock with 1200 miles on it. we took off and right away they nailed it and i couldnt do the same because i didnt want to buck her off. By the time i got wide open they were at least 10-12 bike lenghts in front of me. this is the first time i ever really pounded on it but i hit 130 and was about 2 bike lenghts behind closing in pretty quickly i soon passed them and kept pulling away. I let off at 171 MPH BTW she wasnt too happy about that and of course i dont blame her one bit it was stupid of me to even go that fast let alone with two people on it. It was a blast!! so anyway is this something to be proud of????? yes I have a 1000RR but 500 pounds on her back im sure slowed her down a bit. anyway let me know if I can brag about this.

NO!!!!

Your wife will kill you. Fast is fine when you're alone, but damn... 171 with a pillion is just bad. I don't mean to bash on you or anything, but you need to realize what will happen to your wife if she made a wrong move or something... she'd act like a parachute and hit the ground hard.

of the bike's ability? sure... of your behavior on it... not in the least. Personally, I'd value my wife more than my ego... not trying to flame on you, but come on...

Excuse me for being blunt but that was an idiotic move, I have no respect for any person exhibiting that kind of behavior at all.

Yes it was a very stupid of me that WILL never happen again with her on it. I just got a little excited. Like I said she wasnt happy AT ALL and I do feel bad. I couldnt even begin to think if it was my fat ass on the back of that bike or if something had happened I get butterflys just siting here typing this. Yes I really did mess up.

I'm happy to see you're not taking any of this personal. We all make mistakes and learn from them.

Lets just say if I pulled that crap, I wouldnt be here. No need to pound in that it wasnt very wise and how it was irresponsable, but just be careful and considerate

That poor motorcycle, it's gross weight is only like 370lbs. Forget your wife you need to apologize to your CBR.:D:D
