I'm looking for a Solo Seat Cowl for my 06 1K RR, red in color. What are you guys using? Im thinking about getting the targa one, but I do not see them for the 06, just for the 04-05 CBR 1000. Any other ones? i like the ones that are closed better, then the scopes in them. Pics would be great. Still looking for the right looking tank pad protector yet also.

IMHO I think the OEM looks the best. If I dislike any of the cowls, it's the targa, just doesn't seem to blend with the tail at all. The 05 will fit also for the 1K and 600rr I beleive. I got a ton of info from some guys here when I got mine, wasn't that long ago, you might find it in a thread search. About the Targa, thats just my opinion of course.

I was using my 04 600 RR seat cowl on my 06 1000RR but now i got a full time passenger so i got a candy blue Honda cowl for sale if anyones interested, in great shape asking $100 shipped in US

 

I went with the Honda factory seat cowl. It's vented on the top and of course is a perfect fit and color matched.

 

Im worried about the vents though...when it rains it'll just soak up ur stuff in there. Or is it blocked, so im consider the 600rr version, i hear it will fit the 1000rr

 

Hey.....if anyone has a pic of the 600rr-OEM cowl on the 1000-rr, please post a few pics.....i think this is the rout im gonna take...i dont like the looks of the vented 1000-rr one....i like the targa but its been on backorder for like 6 months....

kinda like the OEM one better....smooth like the targa but has a little "hump"

The vents appear blocked, but have a false plastic floor. Yes, it would leak. But...
none of the cowls are watertight. There is not a rubber gasket or anything that I've
seen. They all just fit on like the original seat...
