Sat on a new 1000RR,...man...

Kicked around bike shops today and sat on a ZX-10, R1, Gixxer 1000, and a CBR 1000.

As far as just feel, layout, and wanting to just ride the thing...the Honda wins hands down.

You could tuck easily behind the windscreen, and not even realize you were doing it.

All the controls seemed...classy?

It was a big bike, but not heavy, and it felt like a friggin man should be riding it, not some 4'11, 115 lb dwarf.

Doesn't the new CBR's have the adjustable steering damper...that really isn't a damper?

Fell out of love, new bike wise with the ZX-10 and into ove with the CBR1.

Anyway, if nothing else this post will inflate your ego if you have one.

you can adjust the HESD on a 1000RR but you have to get the right ecu and software
easier to just get a GPR

I'll agree that when you sit on it, it feels like you're really on something solid.

And yeah, the HESD does adjust, but the computer does it on the fly according to speed, so you can't manually adjust it yourself. I believer there's valves in there that open/close letting the right amount of fluid in/out.
