Does anyone with an 06 1kRR have a sargeant seat on it. I want one, but my dealer says the seats are different on the 04/05 and the 06; Sargeant said it should work fine, but I'd hate to shell out that kind of cash just to be disappointed

 

I've looked into it as well. As far as I can tell the seats haven't changed on the 1000RR. The '05 model seat should fit. Corbin lists the same seat for all 1000RRs.

 

I tried a sargeant seat for my 05 model but sent it back. However, I kept the rear seat cover because it looks pretty cool. I can say that sargeant has very good customer service and let me keep the seat for 3 months to see if I could learn to live with it. What I couldn't get used to was the way it pulls you back from the tank.

 

I appreciate the feedback, and for me if the seat pulls me back from the tank, i'd be happy; one of my complaints with the stock mount is that i am continuely sliding forward to the tank....

 

Anyone got any pics with a new saddle on it.

 

Okay, just got off the phone with Sargeant, they have done a test fitment on an 06 and it fits fine with no mods; I just ordered mine should have it on in a few days, I will post pics and let you know how I like it...got the griptex in all black with the rear seat cover
