Removed Vac Canister. Now idles higher?
I did the flapper mod as soon as i got the bike about a month ago. Today I installed my HIDs and needed the extra room to mount the ballast so i removed the vac canister and solenoid. Now the bike is idling at 1400 rpm.
How can I fix this? Why would removing the canister and solenoid raise the idle if it wasnt even being used in the first place? What should the bike idle at?
Or is this what the bike should idle at and now it just sounds louder that the canister is removed and the flapper might still have been closed but now its open so it sounds louder?
Any help would be great!

RE: Removed Vac Canister. Now idles higher?
if it started idling faster it means that it has a vacuum leak did you take off the vacuum hose that goes into the back of the throttle body to the canister
or just pull that hose off of the canister and plug it
either way when a vehicle starts idling faster ususally it is from a vacuum leak especially when you have been messing with vacuum systems
