Just wondering what type of change do you get when you change your rearsets? I see alot for sale but what is the differnce?

On my Vortex , adjust up to 13.5mm up , 20mm back , and 6.5 down from stock.

The reason for rearsets is to give you a better seating position for aggressive riding & they offer much better crash protection as the stiff rearsets will act as frame sliders. They also increase ground clearance over the stock rearsets. The shifting is a lot smoother than most stock bikes and you can set it up for stock shifting pattern or gp racing pattern.

Hey MGA....I've got a Carbon Fiber exhaust heat shield that would look awesome on your bike. It removes the black plastic one you have in your pic. I have an extra one that I happen to come across if you might be interested?

This forum is bad for my wallet, the more I read the more things get added to my "wish" list. Is it Christmas yet?.

Mga_ODEN, thanks for the feedback!. Same as RR RIDER, I have seen adds for the rear sets, but I did not know what they were for. Sounds like a good solution for my CBR 600F4i. I have the stock rearset still in the bike and I have gotten to the point where my left boot (toes) start hitting the pavement. It is not that I am at the maximum leaning angle, what it is really happening, is that sometimes I do not have enough time to move my foot back right after I shift down and start leaning (Too much speed maybe?). For what you are describing, the rear set should help. The stock rear set on my REPSOL have more ground clearance than the ones on the CBR600F4i; however, I like the idea of aggressive riding position. Oh yeah!

Do you ride with the balls of your feet on the pegs? or the mid part of your foot? i ride with the balls of my feet and the pegs are grinding before the boots do. If you ride the other way the toes stick out more and will touch down really easy.

So MgA you are happy with your VORTEX? How hard are they to install? I'm a bigger guy would they give me alittle more room for longer legs?

I always ride with the balls of my feet on the pegs. What is happenning, is that sometimes I do not time-it right, and end up with my left foot on the shifting position (as you can see in my previous attached pic). I think an aftermarket rear set will band-aid this issue for now by providing more ground clearance. I have tried to move my foo back while I am already leaning, but the action tends to upset the bike. Believe me, that is not a good feeling while you are leaning. Since the pegs on the Repsol have more ground clearance, I have not experienced the same issue. Thinking in going to a Motorcycle school, to learn how to ride properly in the street and in the track.

Love them , took all of 30min to install and they gave me more leg room .
