Proton Flushmounts for '06 1000RR - Pics Added
They were just made available last week. Just got a pair today and installed them. It's amazing how much of a difference freaking turn signals can make to the look of a bike. This bike looks sleek as hell now.
The protons were an absolute perfect fit, they look like a Honda part.
Also, there was some controversy in another post a few weeks back regarding the location of the flasher relay on the 1000RR. I don't know about other years, but on the '06 the flasher relay is under the left side fairing. It's super easy to get to. Way more easy than on my F4i where it was buried between the headlights.
If you're planning on replacing turn signals (front and/or rear) take my advice and replace the flasher relay at the same time. For $20 you'll have a plug and play solution to the "fast-flash" problem.

Thats awesome, I have the yellow and blue 06' 1000rr. I am looking to replace the flashers, what a difference huh. Seems that there is alot more light and is way more visible than stock. Do you have a web address that I can go to or where you bought yours and how much.

I buy everything from Brad at Superbikesupply.com. Call them for items not listed on their page. Be sure to mention the forum.

Kiggy, where did you get the protons from? do they project the light forward or more to the side of the bike only?
Thanks
Bob

See above post for where to buy.
As for projecting light, due to their placement they will obviously project more light to the side than the front. However the flash itself is MUCH brighter than stock. Running lights look good too. Flushmounts generally aren't as visible from the front than stock lights. However in my opinion there are two premium flushmounts made today: Protons ($80) or Gregg's ($120). Both are great quality. However I believe that Protons are more visible overall, especially from the front.
