Problem with 2010 cbr

I have a problem with my 2010 cbr 1000rr. I went to a honda dealer and the mechanic told me that its not normal so i should go back the next day with the bike, and i did. The next day an other mechanic told me it was normal, so i dont know what to believe now.

So the problem i'm having is when i'm going 280km/h the bike hits the rev limiter and i have to release the throttle (so top speed on counter is 284). So i'm in 6th gear and it starts bombing the rev limiter. I dont understand how that could be normal.

I bought the bike a few weeks ago, dealer told me the sprockets are al original. it does have an open exhaust so they said maybe that could be why it hits the limiter. It was not full power when i got it, so i asked them for full power, and they put in a powercommander and opened the intake, i asked about replacing ECU, they told me its not necessary.

I have searched online but i never found anything that comes close to this problem. Anybody have any ideas what it could be?

Can you try retyping your post? I'm not clear on what you're describing. I get that it's a problem with the rev limiter.

Not a native english speaker, i'l try

Imagine going top speed on your bike, just holding the throttle.

I cant do that with my bike, it goes up to 280km/h and it starts revving

Here's a guy on the rev limiter and what it sounds like.

If you're doing 280k I'm thinking that's the top speed of a stock bike. If you've got motor left and it's not hitting the rev limiter you could be hitting the electronic limiter or your clutch is slipping.
