Default Price for a Used Repsol?

I am looking for a 05 CBR repsol in TX
What should I expect on a used 05 CBR repsol? I've seen on Cycle trader , the lowest they sold was 9800 at ammerillo, TX and around 11k here in Houston. Thanks in advance for you help

11k for a used? Better have 3k in mods. Better off buying new, getting a custom paint and buying a decal kit.

I live in Amarillo there are two repsols here my bike that is nice and the one that sold here that has been down twice and I saw it go down one of the two times made me sick. But to get back on track I would not sale my 6000mil repsol for less than $10,000

I was thinking the same thing but I guess repsol has its limited edition number marked on the frame that makes it expensive.

photo_nut - 10k is still reasonable but I saw a dealer sold it for 9800 which make me think twice paying more than 10k
Seltorque - 17.5 wow, I guess you have alot of mods on the bike

I was told by a Honda rep. during bike week Daytona at the Honda tents that the Repsol bikes are going up in value now that they are completly out of production. So if you can get one for under 12k that is in good origanal condition ya better jump on it. If it has mods even better but make sure the seller gives you all the stock parts with it.

I also paid $13,200 for mine new in FL.

Since I am relatively Honda stupid, someone educate me. I am under the impression the Repsol version is nothing more but a regular 05' with a Repsol paint job, colored rims and a decal kit. Nothing more than a visual representation of the GP bike. If I'm wrong let me know. I could understand if it had some limited edition kanoodler valve or something, but just for stock and a paint job makes no sense to me (well yeah it does but I think it's retarded).

Yes you are correct, it is the same as the other 05's 1krrs except that the Repsol model is a limited edition low production number (850 supposedly) and each one has its on unique production #. The Yamaha R1 50th anniversary yellow with racing stripes is similar situation.

Well the R1 LE is a little bit different story. They have lots of extras, a sweet paint job, limited to 500 and have a pretty hefty price tag. Paying over 3k+ over MSRP/NADA for a limited number and nothing more is kinda dumb. IMO the end doesn't justify the means. Again this is one man's opinion and if someone is willing to pay that price, more power to em. I am just approaching it from a logical standpoint and normally went it comes to down to someone really wanting something, logic pretty much goes out the window.
