maybe a stupid question but whats the advantages of a 190/55 from a 190/50

 

the 55 gives you more contact area when you lean the bike over
more rubber on the road means more traction

oh and i called Brad about the tire

I dont see it putting much more rubber on the ground. You're talking a 5mm gain in circumfrence so at any given time you have what, maybe .5mm more rubber on the ground? I would say if you are spinning a 190 of proper compound you are probably being ham fisted with the throttle. That is just my theory. Anyone tried them on the track? If so, any difference?
