A lot of negative response has been received from the posting of the '08 1kRR. I happen to think that a decent paint job and aftermarket exhaust could make this machine look HOT!

THE CHALLENGE:

Make a Repsol edition of the '08 CBR1000RR with an aftermarket exhaust (and get rid of that fender for the Liscense Plate).

or do one that ISNT a repsol! im not a fan of repsols, but would like to see a good paintjob on one.

Hey, I didn't spend a lot of time on this, but i just wanted to be the first one to post one! Its not a bad way to get an idea of what an aftermarket exhaust might look like on it, and with the ugly big fender gone... Let me know what you guys think of the bike looking like this. Personally, i still would go for my 06 all over again, but time will tell... Can't wait to see all the other photos from people who really know how to use photoshop!

Yes i agree, i liked the lines on the 06 much better, they kinda rounded off all the fairing, if you know what i mean, i dont like it. reminds me of the ninjas...

Thanks, i mean i use photoshop for fun, I.E. photoshopping bikes... but id like to see like a professionals take on it... i cant believe they want to put the exhaust on the side though, that was one of the biggest things i loved about the cbr's, the side exhaust looks like crap too... like the stock little midget pipe looks just as bad as the stock one on the GSXR 600s...

 

[sm=badidea.gif] An undertail exhaust is not going to work with the shortened tail and design philosophy of this new Blade. I was a fan of the '04-'07 undertail but due to an intensified mass-centralization and weight removal focus it must go the way of the dodo bird ...extinction.
