Phone Mount for 1krr

Just wondering if the piece in the image is removable. I was considering purchasing a RAM Motorcycle phone mount, but it is supposed to mount where that black plastic piece is.

Thanks

That's just a plastic cap that fits over the steering stem nut. They usually pop off on their own at high speed when enough air pressure goes up the steering stem tube and pushes it off.

Well, surprisingly mine hasn't. Haha. What would you recommend the best way to remove it? Pry it with a screwdriver? Thanks for your reply, also.

Either a small screwdriver or maybe just grab the edge with your fingernails and pull up. Mine was one of the ones that popped off on its own at triple digit speed.

mine pryed off with fingers. you could also stick something up through the bottom of the tube to push it off.

Haha, I've never seen one without it on. I got it off pretty easily. Haven't bought my mount yet, though.
