RE: New Member with a question
I went to another dealer last night in East Hanover, NJ. It is supposedly the largest Honda Dealer in NJ. Who knows. Anyway, they had two 2005 CBR 1000rr's on the floor, 1 black/silver and 1 titanium. They have them marked down to $9,999 plus tax and fees. They also had two 2005 R1's on the floor, 1 blue/white and 1 maroon/black. They have those marked down to $10,200 plus tax and fees. The more I think about it, the more I worry about highsiding myself into next week on the track with one of these Hp monsters. I have gotten so used to the power delivery of the Ducatis. I might be safer going with the 2002 998S Bayliss that I saw at a dealer in CT. They want $13,500 and it has 1,800+- miles on it. I'm sure I could knock that down a grand though. Anyway, thanks for all the advice guys. I will be making my decision once I have a job lined up for after graduation from grad school.

Its up to you but as with any change of bike you`ll need time to adjust to the little differences in power delivery and handling before you can put in some serious laps anyhoo, if it was me i`d go with what i liked, don`t let the inline 4 power delivery put you off.

yeah they make rear seat cowls. they are available directly from honda and from a few aftermarket companies. i believe that they are in the neighborhood of $200. i know they exist, but the price is purely a guess. i ride a 2000 cbr929rr and i paid $189 for mine. www.targa-acc.com is where i got it.
