New 07 1000rr owner

I was wondering what the hell these were?

The previous owner said he got them with the bike but never knew what they were for. It has a low battery indicator light on it and no buttons whats soever. It has an FCC number on it so I think that means they operate by RF but I have no idea what it does.

Any thoughts?

i'd guess it's something that uses proximity to the bike to do something like disarm an alarm, or enable the starter relay, etc.

Thats what I would think too but apparently the previous owner had no idea what it did so he never had it attached to his keychain that started the bike.

So maybe that is it but someone disabled it? It has no brand name or anything on it so I got no clue other then its shape. It has like a protective rubber thing around it that hides a decorative chrome trim and an FCC number. Visible in the pic u can see an LED indicator light for a low battery and thats it.

Didn't know if it was a Honda thing or aftermarket.
