I gave $6700 for my 04 with 10,000 miles on it from a stealership. So you did good as long as its a good solid bike. Im not a big fan of black (no offense) they are hot in the summer and a bear to clean and keep clean. But thats just my 2cents worth.

Always bet on black....(too shine when kept clean) but if you start slackin on the care and maintances, it will pull a Cinderalla on you and turn too crap[]. LOL. Like my man says always be a little weary when all the decals have been removed. Check to see if the footpegs match (aged, if one looks newer than the other. Same wtih the brake and cluth.

Unless you are buying new, a dealership will always rape you. They are not in the business for selling bikes what they are worth. Who do you think pays their light bill.

$4900.00 THATS A HELL OF A DEAL. Stay safe ride hard and watch out for those speed traps[8D]!

Well I checked it over pretty good today. I think it was down on the right side cause they are some very light scratches on the clutch cover. You can even feel them with your hand they're that little. It looks to me like they're from your boots or whatever. But other than that the bike looks mint everywhere.

And by the way what's the best stuff to use to keep the platics clean. I hard plexis is good but what else is out there.

ORIGINAL: justasquid

Ifit doesnt have italready, do a sprocket change and it really wakes the bike up. -1 front +2 in the rear. that along with a speedo healer would be my next step in mods.
Without knowing the riders experience level that's a terrible suggestion. A liter bike doesn't need that to be a performer.

Honda faring cleaner or any fairing cleaner. Dont let them say any different. Kawi fairing cleaning is the same as Honda fairing cleaner. Maintain your chain and most important CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK!

DID I SAY CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK! My man was right about not changing out your sprockets until your skill level increases. The modification he talks about does wonders but for someone who is brand new to the game you are looking for trouble.

Some of the quick mods you can do are, exhaust, power commander, and lights. These items will help the bikes performance and wont be the death of you. hehehe!

Bike looks nice. I use Plexus on mine. Really shines after! Use it often and you'll find you can use just a tad to keep it shiny because the Plexus kinds keeps the dust off.

As for decals, yeah, could be a warning, but just a fyi, I take my decals off my bikes just cause in my opinion, the less the better. Just my preference, I just like the clean simple look.

I for once actually agree with X. -1 +2 with an inexperienced rider is a disaster waiting to happen. It will come up real fast if you cant control it. If you are using this as an everday around the town bike there is no need for this. The PC and slip on with the 1k has more than enough power without the conversion. If you are tracking the bike then thats a different story. As you know by now the bike is quick enough without it.

well I checked it out today. the sprockets are stock but like you said the power commander and slip on gives it enough. I dont think i'll put sprockets on it as it comes up to easy now.
