RE: mpg

I normally see about 40 mpg during my weekly commute back and forth to work which is about 50/50 city/highway. I try to stay below 4500 RPM's for most of the trip. However, I do venture into the upper RPM range for a2 mile stretch when I get into Mexico.

If I behave, 42 to 44mpg. Abought 165 to 180 before fuel light comes on. But very easy to drop to low 30try's with more twist of right hand.....06 cbr 1000rr.

I would say everyday riding one would get about 35-40 mpg with conservative riding, but when it starts to get aggressive, I've gotten less than thirty....A lot does depend on the rider's style.

I regularly get about 32 mpg, and my light comes on at about 120 miles.

are you running a power commander? I see that hurt mileage on some of my friend's bikes

From what I haveheard, these bikes are known to run very rich in comparrison to other 1000cc, sothe difference between 6k RPMS and 4K RPMS would be huge, tach her down a notch and your milage will go up, Stay in the lower third of your RPM range, when you start getting up into the 50% range your getting close to the power band when she is burning most fuel. easyiest way give yourself an extra gear. I'm not going to lie this is what i have experienced on my R6 i had, My buddy with the exact same bike was surprised when i was gett 49-50 mpg to his 35mpg, and it was because he was always in a lower gear than i was, rather than down shifting to pass he would just roll on it andup shift as he went by.

i have a stock 06 and get 150-170 before my light comes on. i did one long ride on back roads, keeping the revs up and still got 140? i get around 40mpg on average.
