Default Lowering my 1000rr

I would like to hear some pros and cons on lowering my 1000rr.
How much of an effect does it have on corning angles.

It will greatly effect fast riding through corners. I've driven mine around lowered down, no problems, but never pushed it though corners. I have all thats needed to lower it if you want to.

If you like deep cornering than i wouldn't recommend it. I like to corner fast but when i lowered mine almost 2 inches I could not go fast and deep as i wanted for the fear of falling. I picked it back up and it's just as it should be...

I understand that corning will suffer. I guess I would like to know is how much angle I would be losing and if or how oftenit would show up

it will suffer only if you dont readjust your suspension geometry back to oem specs (ie fork and shock heigth)

take it to a suspension person to reset the geometry and you wont notice much of a difference.

+1 Bax, I like when people know what they're talking about. Most of us that race always want to ridicule someone for lowering their bikes without offering knowledgeable advice. The only thing that will suffer if you do what Baxom told you to is your lean angle. And I don't think thats the most important to you at this point. Objective advice without bashing thats what I like to see!
