Thanks for info juSTaQuid, Had my third ride today and the ride position
is getting less and less foreign, im starting to get it i think, why the position, you just point the front to where you want to go and she glides in there...yes im respecting the power and just getting to know the dynamics right now. its funny how i subconsciously want to ride it like i used to ride my 87 hurricane but this thing has other intentions. I would like to stiffen the front preload a little but i don't understand what to do with the adjustment on the pic...

Finally completed the lowering rear and replace stand exercise, lowered by 1.5 inches, initially lowered 2.5 but quickly noticed I lost my center of gravity, the bike steering and movement left and right was on hyper mode, i was zigzagging very easily, so i went back up to 1.5 and it felt great, took some of leaning forward away and makes a comfortable ride and I can touch the ground.. well worth the exercise. here some shots of the links if anyone very ones to try it I can give you some tips.

Nice job, its hard to tell its even lowered.

I know its been said, but please be careful. With the set up the way it is, you have less force on the front tire and more on the rear. This affects your braking ratio so you won't be able to put as much braking on the front tire before lock-up. You may want to practice some panic stops to get use to the way it brakes.

But again, nice job. If you feel up to it, you may want to consider writing a How To article in our How To section of the forum. You could explain your reasoning and the results that you have found. Any informaion we can pass onto others is greatly appreciated.

Great Tip Just' infact I involuntaryly had to test them yesterday, 65 -70ks and a Ute pulls into my lane like a madman,Hit brakes hard and straight up and thank G she didn't lock up at all. Ive since done more re-enactment as per your advise and she is good, and yeah you wont notice it much too look at because I only lowered by between 1 -1.5 inches, put it straight back up when I felt the crazy steering feeling on first test run, I know its sacrilegious n shouldnt be done that's why I kept it to a minimum only enough to make it safer in other areas of bike handling. I think the magic number was 21mm, any more and it does start affecting. Laughing at do a "How to" you would all laugh, I did learn some lessons while doing it late on a Friday nite till wee hours of morn.
