I quit!!

My bike was stolen again. Before you ask, yes it was secured. Either way, I'll be posting up some gear for sale. 2 bikes since May, the second one didn't even have plates yet. Just had to vent.

woogie 10-01-2009 07:34 PM

That sucks bad...very sorry to hear that.

rellimdekim 10-02-2009 12:17 AM

man Naf you have to have the worst luck ever... I am sorry to hear about it.. i would almost think someone was targeting you..

JHouse 10-02-2009 12:22 AM

I am really sorry about that. Sometimes you feel like you just can't have anything. I had the same car stolen 3 times back in the 80's. It really hurts your feelings.

I assume these deserve to suffer massively scumsuckers just part them out?

PlayfulGod 10-02-2009 01:54 AM

think I would be moving lol

that sux dude!

cwmc29 10-02-2009 02:03 AM

Sorry to hear about the theft of both bikes. I agree with PlayfulGod, pack up you $hit and move out of there.

abeer1 10-02-2009 03:34 AM

That's crazy. If your bikes have been stolen, there's no telling what else they'll take from you.

HAHAHA, Dude I just moved to a nice area of San Diego after my other bike was stolen. I did bring it up to the investigator that it is the 2nd bike stolen in less than 6 months that was purchased from that particular dealer.

TBagr 10-02-2009 08:22 AM

that blows monkey ass. i know your pain as i have had three cycles and one jetski stolen.

you have to buy a house if you want a cycle. you cant leave it anywhere but your garage, EVER. i have a whole seperate alarm for just my garage. i might have to just stab the next theif in the eye.

Are you thinking that it was someone from the dealership that stole it?

I guess it's possible, I had a friend who had a Supra stolen, when the police recovered it, they found out it had been stolen by a guy who worked at the Toyota dealership who got his address off his service records.

I hope this isn't the case for you, but it's defenitely something for the police to look into.

NYKnick1015 10-02-2009 06:10 PM

that really sucks dude... i live in brooklyn and i leave my bike out all the time and all i have is disc locks... i really think some one is out to get you, or it was a dealer. I dont live in the best neighborhood but i dunno

The wife told me the same thing. I'm not getting a new bike til the wife and I get a house. I have the theft insurance, the same one that gives me 5k credit, so I am gonna get a 600 and turn around and sell it. I'm done dealing with the thievery until I have a garage to keep the bike in.

JHouse 10-02-2009 07:42 PM

You might need to make sure the bike is ugly. Works the same with girls.

JG~the~RT 10-02-2009 09:16 PM

Just another reason I agree with Maynard James Keenan of TOOL & wanna see the big one hit California . . See you down in Arizona bay!

thrasher572 10-03-2009 10:20 AM

All hope is not lost. The police stumbled across two of my bikes that were stolen when they arrested a crackhead trying to rob people in the middle of a bridge with a sawed off shotgun. He rolled over on his accomplices trying to get a lesser charge. There is no honor among theives. Somebody knows something.

perf0rmance 10-08-2009 03:54 AM

there's a guy on the 1000rr.net forum that had 2 repsol's (07) stolen within a year so...

he's from san diego and he reckons that they're in mexico. he would have opted for lo jack except that mexican authorities won't cooperate with law officials from the US (so i've read)

CBRclassic 10-08-2009 07:49 AM

had a bike stolen off the base while i was stationed in SD. base police said 2 or 3 vehicles a day were stolen off the base. most were never recovered and believed to be in mexico.

Elfling 10-09-2009 10:08 AM

That really blows :(

Clearly not enough machine gun turrets on the base.

Is bike theft really that big right now? I couldn't imagine what for besides maybe some joy riding?

Or get a clean frame off ebay for a couple hundred, swap it and profit up a couple grand.

My neighborhood is ok but on a major public transit hub. So on Sundays when they divert the trolleys, we get a lot of non-local traffic. Sunday nights everyone knows to watch their stuff
