Default I Pick it up on Wed!!!!!!!!!!!!

WooHoo!!!!

My bank said ok to my loan. [sm=happybounce.gif]I am picking it up Wed at noon.[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]

Then I have to go back to work.[sm=smiley19.gif] [sm=wakeup.gif][sm=boosign.gif]

2004 Silver and Black CBR1000RR4 brand new leftover. 0 MILES.

When is the first service due? What do they do and how much?

I am ordering a Sargent seat for it so I can actually not be tortured while I ride. Then I will need to get a new helmet and mesh jacket. My jacket is an XL Blue/Black ACR Air flow and the helmet is a HJC AC12 Blue/white/grey Yikes 3. I will have to clash for awhile until I can afford the new stuff. Oh well.

The Tourmaster Saber is just a little hot in 90 degree weather.

Good deal! Be sure to post pics when you get it. I can't believe a dealer had a brand new 3 year old bike still sitting around.
Also, watch out for the stator recall on the 04's. May be in your best interest to replace it soon before it has a problem.

Stator Recall????

I know he already did the speedometer recall but I didn't know there was also a stator recall??

EDIT: He had a 2005(2004?) CBR600 Red and black and a 2002 silver CB900 (919) both brand new.

He told me those types of bikes sell in spurts. He sold a bunch in 2004 so ordered more then never sold them all.
Then of course everyone wants a new model year bike so he sells the old stuff muchlater.

Of course no one around heregives you a great deal. But for me my price was good and the dealer is a good guy.

Not a stator recall. It is an extended warranty for an extra 6 years on the (ACG) Charging system.

I have the same bike, color and all. I just had a customer map done today. 153.9 HP with 79 lb foot torque. I love my CBR. I did some research on the exhaust, Jardine RT one, before I bought it. I originally had the scorpian which sound real nice but caused a dead spot in the mid range. I spoke with the Honda guys at the international MC show here in ATL. The of course said they the could not official suggest any Mods but said I could not go wrong with the Jardine. I also was in the Pits at Barbara when AMA was there in April and spoke with the pit crew for Duhamel and Zemke who basically said the same thing. Every tuner I have spoke with in the ATL areas also spoke well of the Jardine. I have to say I really enjoy it.I also did the Flapper Mod which made some difference. Enjoy it!!

It was $8595 plus tax. But like I said nobody deals around here. If I was south or even in California I woudn't have any problems buying for less.

I didn't have any problems spending that much. After all it is a great bike and the other newer bikes for that price weren't even a close second (Suzuki SV1000s, Bandit 1250S, Kawasaki 1000S or 600s which are just too whimpy.).

I hope you already factored in the cost of insurance. That can be a kick in the pants. If you shop around, you should be able to find it for a good price. Do a search in this forum for some advice.

Enjoy your new bike. You will love it!

Congratulations on the purchase of your new motorcycle. Prices vary greatly based on the area. I spent over a month researching the costs and working with the dealers. In the end I purchased a brand new 2007 CBR 1000RR Black/Grey for about $8650.00 w/o tax. My brother and I had to drive about 500 miles to pick up the new motorcycle. The dealers in the area just couldn't compete. I am loving my bike so far, and I hope that you will love yours too!

Edit: I got a pretty decent quote from progressive. My motorcycle insurance is less expensive than my car insurance. However, if you're going for comprehensive insurance you will find yourself getting kicked really hard anywhere.
