Default How comfy is you 1k?

I was just wondering how comfortable the 1000RR is. I've heard the 600RR is horribly uncomfortable to ride for any extended period of time but I didn't know how the 1k compared to it. right now I have a f3 but sooner or later I want to move up to a bigger bike since I'm kind of a big guy.

I think mine's comfy. I've never been on a 600RR, but looking at them they look about the same as a 1KRR as far as ergonomics go.

I rode my buddies 05 1krr a few times and it is a torture rack next to my F4i. I don't think you buy that bike for just cruising around.

my 06 1000rr is much more comfortable than my 05 cbr 600. my 600 had like a piece of wood for a seat. it had no play in it at all. but the 07 600 has integrated the same seatas the 1000rrs. but i think both after a while will still make your *** sore. thats the one flaw to hondas but there getting better07 cbr 600. hope this helps

I have no problems putting 400 miles on my 06 1K. It's pretty damn comfy IMO. Just dont plexus the side of the tank where your Knees go and you'll be fine!

Yep the 06 and before 600RR arent as comfy as the latest 1000RRs. I can ride for miles on end on it and no complaint. Lovin it.

The 1000RR isn't too bad at all, but it sure isn't like an F4i. My only problem with comfort is my back hurts really bad after about an hour or more of constant riding. It gets to the point of becoming distracting and I stop and stretch out or find a picnic table to lay out on.
Seat comfort is fine, my wrists don't bother me since I don't support weight on them, and the stock wind shield is really good at blocking.

dwhite645,

Your back probably hurts more than the usual because you say you don't use your wrists to support your weight any. I find that the only two support mechanisms that we have are the back and the wrists and any mix between the two. I try to mix it up because my back will give me more problems than my wrists will after an extended ride (45 minutes+ of constant riding). You might want to try riding some with your wrists supporting some of your weight and see if your back feels any better.
