I currently have BT 002 race/street tires, but just got a job where I'm riding/splitting traffic for 80mi's two way. They do have dual compound and it would seem that most manufactures are going that route for longer wear for street riding. Amazingly, I've gotten over 5000 mi and although they are flat spotting, there wearing really well.
I understand there are a lot of variables like how fast, braking, accelerating etc....Anyone have any experience with long wearing tires that can work well cornering?

 

most tires either get good mileage, OR are good in cornering...
you generally dont get both very well, now that two compound tires are coming out there is some hope soon.

but hey the harder the tire is the better for straight line commuting then cornering. but now im rambling..

anyway, maybe you should check out *sport touring tires* for zx-14's ect but on your size and the zx-12 contour tires ect
