Sounds like it could be a scam. Not saying it definitely is but that it could be. Before sending any money take a look at the bike ... even if it's far away.
As far as 1000 vs 600 ... they both make more than enough power to kill you dead if you don't respect it. Maybe you are the one in a million 17 year olds that can handle it responsibly. God knows I wasn't ... still ain't[8D]

I saw the same story on a 07 GSXR750 for 3000 and it had like 1500miles on it. Lady was going through a divorce and said she would ship it but she said she would only go through ebay. Def prob a scam. You might wanna think about the insurance man you only being 17 you get a 1000 the insurance is gonna eat u alive even with liability

I will have to agree with TK954RR on that. Im 25 and my fist bike was a CBR 1000RR and i thought i could handle it by starting easy and getting used to it that way but after the 2nd month i had it i lost it going 70mph. Luckly i only broke 3 ribs, fractured my rist, and got a lot of rash. Needles to say i ride a lot differently now and def learned how to ride a bike the hard way. Think hard before you get one.

Eeeekk.. a 1000 for a 17 year old.. man o man. Do what you want, aint gonna affect me. But like someone ^ said, insurance for a 1000 ridden by a 17 year old is likely gonna be outrageous. Should also point out you're a little guy. 130lbs? Man. You could probably go dang near as fast on a 600 as a guy my size (220 lbs) can on a 1000. I would HIGHLY recommend a 600, but like I said, do whatcha want. But I will say a 600 isnt going to be slow. Especially a newer one.
Does sound kinda scam like too.
