ahem....i say forget the 1KRR...you need something bigger...like the busa or the zx14R...
if you're going to go big...go BIG...don't waste your time with a 1K when you can go 1300 or 1400...what's the point if you're just going to get used to it right?

start small and learn to ride properly, then spank hard on a big bike...or you can be like them idiots at the track...who have the latest and greatest EVERYTHING...fricking timer and $#!T and then get passed by some girl in an F2 who knows how to ride...

I started on a 98 F3 for three years and recently bought my blue and yello 06 1000rr. I wasn't riding my F3 to it's potential and when I rode my 1000rr home from the dealer, I was blown away at how much power it has. Take the well known expression as advice for buying your first bike: "There are two types of riders. Riders who have fallen and riders who are going to!" You will crash. It just a matter of when and where so do you want to crash a $12,000 bike or a $3000 bike? Buy a used bike and spend the money on the safety equipment.
