oil change= approx $12 and 20 min of time in your own garage or driveway
Drain plug, filter removal and refill. Easy and quick. Sounds as if this dealer is fairly expensive even with "inspections" that may be done during the service visit.

yeah.....

30-40 minutes of your time.....free
HP4(Synth no moly)...............4 qts(takes 3.3qts)@ $6.95/qt = $28
OEM filter............................ $10
Drain Plug Washer................ $0.50 from dealer
2 beers waiting on it to drain...$2.50

knowing you did it RIGHT.....have no leaks.....didnt strip the oil-bolt orany fasteners or break any fairing tabs or scratch any plastic....or a mechanic-squid ragging out your bike up and down the side-road to "check" it........PRICELESS

putthe $220 you saved towards go-fast goodies or riding gear....

and before someone starts flaming....NO i dont hop on and ride after the beers...i just crank it up, let it get to temp to make sure i have no leaks before i put the fairing back on...

I did mine myself, and it was easy. There's a guy on here that posted some pics that help me out. One good advice that he gave was coving up the engine area with aluminum foil before changing the filter. keeps things clean..
