fender eliminatior..
When i got my competition werkes kit, i thought the same thing, WOW i paid $150 for this?? btu when you start to figure out prices, $75-$95 for a nice spring hinged plate holder. $25 for nice duel LED Projection plate light, $25 for blinkers, and instructions and mounting brakets, it really isn't that bad of a price. you couldn't build your own, and piece it all together and have it look that good. thats for sure, in the past i made a nice plate holder from ABS plastic and it looked nice but it wasn't as nearly as durable and buyinga metal one. i for one am happy. as long as i get a warmer day to install it.

has anyone ever tried to mess with it and create their own "fender eliminator" out of it??

I have also played around with some mesh tint. <Old Thread Link>
Basically, don't be afraid to try new things as long as you can undo it later. Some day I will replace it with the high-quality stuff, but for now I am happy!
yeah i have been debating painting them i have flat black heat paint i used for the stator cover, i think i migth try it on the rear sets too, how does it hold up on the pegs? Do you have any up close pics?
i did a custom off the stock set up. see pics. i have since taken it off. i do have pics of it on the bike. t keep sthe plate very visible an out back, just no lights. it does require drilling 2 holes in the plate. i would be willing to sell if anyone is interested. send me a message

Ebay $22. Basically a Giant Screw Clamp and a nice piece of aluminum.

Yes th bike is just thrown in the truck, this is how the tow company loaded it for me after running head on into a bank going 55+, ****in'g antifreeze!

Here's another shot...Broke Both tripple clamps and snapped one of the forks too.
