Default Fairing decal

Greetings- I'm new to the forum and glad that I can finally connect with other CBR riders. I ride an 06 1K RR and this is a cosmetic issue. The right fairing sticker behind the cooling fan keeps peeling up.....from the heat I would imagine. I have had it replaced by the dealer twice but it's bound to happen again. I was told this has been identified as a factory fault??? Anyhow, was wondering if anyone knew of a clear coat or sealer that I could apply to that area that would keep the sticker down. Certainly not the end of the world but I would like to keep it in good shape. All suggestions are welcome.

Bought it new in March 07. Sticker started peeling back abouta month after I got it. It's been fixed twice by the dealer. I have 3K on it as of now. Dealer is going to put another sticker on there next week or so, would like to put something on it immediately after to prevent any peel up. I ride almost daily, so it's going to happen again. At 100 bucks a sticker I would rather solve the problem under warranty.

I don't know what it is but my friend was having the same problem on his 06 600. The dealer fixed it three times. Still came off. So the last time they changed the fairing and it never happen again. I think he told me that it was something wrong with the paint under the decal.

thats a common prob. take it to the dealer and they will put some heat barrier material on the inside of the fairings. thats all honda is doing about it. unless the fairing bubbled too (which they do), then they will replace the fairing as well.

I agree with Demon, could be heat. Also could be some kind of residual wax that didnt get taken off at the factory. Sounds like a good excuse for http://www.tapeworks.com/if your into that kind of thing.

go to 1000rr.net and read the 35 page thread about it. the lower header tubes will also melt/bubble the lower fairings.
