I dont think I have ever seen the CBR1K ranked anywhere in the top by any magazine.
Personally, I wouldn't take it too seriously. To some extent, it is subjective. Also, if you look at stat comparisons, all liter bikes are all so close that I really think the diference is miniscule.
I love my bike, think it looks/feels/handle absolutely wonderful. That's all I care about.

I have been riding since 1981 and have gone thru many bikes.Never driven anything like the RR 06.I had the 2002 954 and i swore by that bike, untill I hit the break in period on my 06 RR.Did the oil change and then went bizzark.I loved that 954 but 06 RR Is solid.when I bought my 954 and 06 RR it was for there looks and quality.Nothing out there comes close to the craftsmanship Honda puts into there machines.

ha guys,
let the mags rate us 20 if they want look at what jake is now doing with the 1000 he is outting a spanking on those suzus that were so dominient at the first of the year. i thing their problem is that when they hope on the 1000 rr is that when they twist the throtle and turn thruogh the curves the the new 2006 refined 1000rr just catches them off guard that they dont no what to say. they go to the track and everyone is talking about how the 2005 was and they have already rated the bike before they ride and they have already commited to the other brands the jusat donr no what to say because the bike is that good glad i have one

Honda doesn't get high ratings for it's bikes because they're the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world and they don't have to suck up to the mags.
BTW, I just took delivering on my 2006 CBR1000RR today. In Candy Blue and Yellow (which happens to match the colors of the bike used in the new Miami Vice movie coming out July 28th.) Word I have is that as soon as the movie is out, all the Blue/Yellow ones are going to disappear off the dealer floors because of copycat squids picking them up. I picked the color because it's easier for inattentive cagers to see at night.

All the mags say diff things bout all the bikes. Its not really the bike itself but the rider. I coulda bought the gsxr 1k and im happy i didnt. Everytime i pull up to one of those cyclops i get complements bout how my bike looks and their jaws just drop in their helmets. Dont worry how the mags rated us...whats a couple ponies anyways when ur cruisin @ 120 mph...trust me i dont make that much a difference.
