RE: Debating on 675 or 1000RR
A guy I know bought one a while back. I've looked it over and just from the looks the honda seems like a much better quality bike. It just looks like it's made better. Sure the Triumph comes with a couple of goodies already but over all the I'd get the honda, I did; and it came down between the same to bikes for me when I was in the market in July. I paid 10,500OTD for my cbr and the guy I know paid 10k OTD for his 675.

Hey Now Fellas,
After a long grueling decision. I ended up with an black/grey 07CBR1kRR for 11,5 out the door. Not bad for here in WA. I knew the 06's were a steal but my wife liked the 07 better. We drove 50 miles away and looked at the grey Triumph 675 and my wife says, it didnt look as good as the Honda. I wanted it since I knew I wont be able to use all the power of the 1kRR. Oh well, I love the color of my new 1kRR, but its still at the dealer since its raining today. hahahaha! Thanks fellas for the all the advice, but my new bike sure felt heavy.......

Thanks,
No, I havnt tried the intake flapper mod. Is that for real, I havnt heard of it yet. Who has done it to the CBR so far.... Sounds pretty cool. My bike is still at the dealer and I should pick it up sometime this weekend. Its pouring rain out here and my wifey wont let me ride it home until it dies down. So, I havnt heard what my bike sounds like. My first mod I plan on doing is removing the stock rear tailights and looking for a good slip on of full system....any suggestions.

RE: Debating on 675 or 1000RR
the flapper mod is DEFINITELY for real & almost every 1000rr owner who has done it will agree
only if you cross into the triple-digits often should you take off the entire assembly and put in the A-Tech
i changed my stock tail-light for one of those blinker-integrated ones & replaced the front blinkers with Greggs' flushmounts
speaking of exhausts, there's a treasure trove of exhaust maps & pictures @ www.1000rr.net
amidst the slip-on's i like the Taylormade & new Jardine Ti-Cf but most racers prefer either Sato or Arata
for a full Ti system my favorite is the one on my 1000rr i.e. Hamaguchi ... unbeatable value for money if you know where to buy it from
also if you don't mind me saying, i suggest you spend on your gear first, the bike's brakes & suspension next and the power package last

RE: Debating on 675 or 1000RR
thanks for the advice menefreghista....
Yep I got the gear now, and my wifey chose it out...so im all bummed out and it doesnt match my bike..I wanted all black gear but she ended making me get gear that stands out....lol... So, somehow I ended up with the hayden replica with the black cbr and a black n blue joe rocket jacket.off *** hell...ugh..it dont match but the helmet is sweet....Man the 1kRR wasnt as bad as I thought it was. I rode off and headed to the nearest parking lot. Spent about 20 minutes on getting a good feel for riding again, and felt right at home. The CBR is smooth, smooth, smooth.. Slightly buzzy on the highway and for some reason not sure if I was going fast enough but my wife said I was going pretty slow. heard somethng about a speedohealer... I still got to break in the tires so couldnt really enjoy its carving ability....Also, i wasnt expecting the exhaust note to be too loud, but the stock sound is pleasing.
Thanks fellas for the advice, I'll post pictures tomorow...
