im gonna look around for a new windscreen and try that. much cheaper than buying a new helmet
as long as you don't lose your lid, that will work!!!

hola yellow, i live in sunny phoenix, i have the ZG double and haven't had any isses.....but then again i always try to find some shade when i park my bike, primarly cuz i don't want to roast the old chestnuts; but there are times when that just isn't possible, and i have had zero issues with melting anything

Link for reference

There may be other postings here talking about it, but this is what I found in a quick search. Carbon fiber was recommended as an alternative?

I don't know if tinting would make it better or worse. I don't know how their instrument panel melted...
(1) By lensing effect of the double bubble, like a magnifying glass.
or
(2) By reflecting sunlight coming in from the rear of the bike onto the dashboard, like a mirror.

I'm reading reports that the double bubble will melt your dashboard when it's hot (like it is here in the southwest United States). I'd avoid it if it's going to cost you more money from the damage it causes.
It's true, my buddy has a yellow puig screen and it put a hole in the plastic around his gauges. That's why I went with solid black
