RE: Competition Werkes Fender Eliminator
That looks pretty sharp.
What do you guys think about the flushmounts included with the new FE? I had already purchased a Clear Alternatives because I didn't like the signals included with the previous Comp Werkes FE. But I think I like the turn signals included with this FE much more than the previous Comp Werkes FE for the 1000RR. In fact, I think I might like the stock tail light better than the Clear Alternatives too.
The only thing I'm not 100% is look/placement of the flushmounts included with the new FE. Any opinions? How about you guys that have already installed them?

i dont like the flushmounts going on the sides, it does not look as clean. when the weather gets nice i plan on getting the intagrated turn signals off of ebay, they have a blue tited screen as well, here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-06...spagenameZWD1V

RE: Competition Werkes Fender Eliminator
Hey Guys,
I kinda like the lights up higher on the new FE kit...and I think it makes the signals a bit more visible from a practical perpsective...but on the other hand the older placement looks nice too. Hard call to decide on that .
There is in fact (I found) about 1/2 inch of clearance from the roller on the bottom of the plate holder and the rear tire fender...so I do not believe it would get damaged. In fact the plate holder will fold backwards if the roller hits the fender...so I don't think there is anything to worry about.
On a side note...I got pulled over by a cop (rookie) last week at night...and he was claiming that he could not read my plate when driving 5, 10 or 20 feet behind me. I humoured him and said "gee officer that is surprising and I will certainly look into making it MORE visible"...while I was thinking...."give me a friggin break....the plate is brightly lit up and if you were not blind as a bat you can clearly see my plate". Anyone had this problem ? When I got home I sat in my car at various distances and had no problem reading the plate. Think this is just bike envy ?
