Default Checkered Flag Stands

Anyone have a set of these stands ? I just received my set and am a lil disappointed in them. The quality looks ok, but they took a month to show up, no instructions, no spools (which i ordered) the front one seems to be too wide to even hook onto the forks. No return calls from 3 messages left. Starting to get pissed.

you're not the only one. I actually wanted to order from them but I wanted to ask a question first; tried calling several times, emailing several times, and after many attempts with no response I decided I'm not going to beg someone to give them money (original story)

Good stands, work great (after slight mod) and the price wasn't bad..that said. It did take about four weeks for delivery and I tried many emails and phone calls, they sent me a Fedex tracking #. Still took three weeks for it to show it was shipped, so in reality it took a week for shipping and three for making the product. They make there stands and the only thing I could figure is that they don't actually have them in stock and make them once an order is put in.
They claim to be universal stands and for the most part are, but I still had to mod the rear stand to make for a better fit.
Here is the front, adjusted the sliders to the correct width and tighten the locking screw.

The rear one fit better after I cut the inner mount holder,(cutting square inner pipe to round stand pipe) making sure not to cut into the weld. This widen the rearstand to get the slide adjusters far enough apart to get under the spools.

I did try swapping the front stand to the rear to see if I had them backwards, but didn't work. So I ended up cutting.
Sorry they didin't include your spools, good luck contacting them.

Thanks ! The front is too narrow to fit like your pic showed. If i adjust em in far enough to fit, ther're past the tightening down point. Haven't even been able to test the rear yet cuz of the lack of spools. I really could understand havin a prob w/em, but no return call pisses me off. They seem to be of decent build quality, but it doesn't matter much if it doesn't fit the bike !![sm=smiley21.gif]

I think you are using the rear stand on the front, that would make the stand to wide to lock the adjusting sliders. The front stand is 15 inches wide and the rear is 17 in.

Yea, s/thing is goofy, but i'm purty sure i don't have the front/rear mixed !! The front (w/o adapters) is 13', rear is 16. It looks like maybe the adapters they sent are just too short ?? I can set it up to fit the front, but the adapters are so far "in" that they are past the screws.
