Charging problem
 
I have a 2005 1000rr. I have replaced the stator, rectifier and i have a new battery. After riding for a while, i turn off the bike and it wont start, the battery loses voltage and cant crank the engine,please help!!!!!!

Did you replace all the parts at once, because you might have burnt the regulater/rectifier or the stator again.

there was a TSB/recall/warranty extension of some sort...

yes...take it to the dealer.

If the 08 is still under warranty then I would take it to the dealer. It prolly wont cost you anything. Dont have some joe shmoe try & fix it if its is under warranty. They might mess something up & cause it not to be a warrantable repair.

For the 05 you need to check the stator output & check to see if it has grounded. What kind of volts are you getting at the battery? As asked before was everything replacedat once? You could have replaced something & it not fixed it & the battery is now bad. Did you make sure to install dowel pinsin the case & that one didnt get stuck on the flywheel? I have seen it before is why I'm asking.

What volts are you getting at the battery?
Check stator output. (AC volts)
