Changed clutch plates now bike will not start

I have a 2006 cbr 1000rr. This weekend I changed the clutch plates which I pulled from an old cbr 1000rr engine same year. The plates were still oily so did not soak in oil. While tightening down the screws to the pressure plate. The ignition timing turned but do not know if this is the cause. I slapped everything back together and went to start the bike. It first made a knocking sound which came from the clutch area. Then after three tries it kind of stated to cut over but didnt. I took the small plate off the side of the clutch cover and turned the ignition timing bolt to where the lines were on the case cover. I also did check the connector that comes out of the clutch cover. I went as far as changing it since I had a spare but still no go. Has anyone ever experienced this or could lead me in the right direction.

Why would you put a used clutch in?

The used motorcycle had 7200 miles when I pulled out due to gasket leak. I knew that the clutch was still good so didnt want to pay for new ones if i had used ones. Thank you for the reply

I don't own your bike but on my f4 i remember when i changed my clutch plates and it didn't start it was because i had that connector inside the clutch cover upside down. You sure you have it facing the right way up.
