Default CBR1000RR oil leak

I just put on a 15 tooth front sprocket on my 2005 CBR1000rr. Now I'm leaking a small amount of oil from the clutch contershaft located just above my front sprocket and behind the clutch fluid thing(?). Then I take the sprocket cover off I can see the oil is leaking from an oil seal where the countershaft rod (I think that's what it's called)goes through. I'm having the shop replace the oil seal and I hope that works. Has anybody had a similar problem or know if the oil seal is the real problem? I'm hoping they didn't screw something up on the other side (clutch plate side) when they put the rod back through. Any info would help.

I'm refering to the rod located behind the black thing connected to the top of the front sprocket cover. If you take the 5 bolts out to remove the sprocket cover there is a steel rod that goes through to the other side of the engine. The rod sits inside of a rubber oil seal (part# 91209-mbo-003). The oil is leaking through that rubber seal. I'm wondering if my problem is more complex than a simple seal leak. I've already ordered the part. But I'm worried that the oil is leak is originating somewhere else and just seeping out of the rubber seal. Any sugestions?

That's the rod that goes from the slave cylinder and pushes the plates apart, yes? I haven't heard of this being a big problem on the RR's but it is semi-common for hydraulic clutches. A little sand or dirt gets on the rod and kills the seal. Then you end up with a small leak. The new seal ought to do the trick.
