where are you located?

I bank with USAA, and they go with Progressive for their motorcycle insurance. While it's still sky high for insurance for my 1krr compared to the F3, it was cheaper than any other places I looked (Geico, Nationwide, etc).

Maybe a local insurance company would be able to give you a better deal.

Check with State Farm. I have it on my '08 1000RR. Their rates were less than 1/3 of a few companies I checked with when shopping like GEICO and Progressive. Something about how they rate the bikes by engine size and they ignore the fact that it's a high performance sport bike.

Progressive is the best insurance for motorcycles i would say. I had a owned f3 on geico and and it was actually more than what i was paying for my 954 on progressive, financed. But honestly it depends on your location. In city would be a lot more than town and village. I was paying 475 for 12 months for my f3, and now paying 325 for 12 months for my 954. The town i live in tho is considered a "village" and not really a town or city

I have had Geico for 10 yrs and never had issues from them. They also had cheaper rates. Like someone else said your location along with other details. I wouldn't suggest Progressive to anyone. I was hit by someone they insured earlier this year. They took 6 months to contact me. Once they did call they demanded to see the motorcycle. The problem there is the city lot where it was taken will auction off or destroy vehicles left or 45 days. Fortunately I had pictures and kept all receipts. However they are only offering half of the value of the bike. As I looked into Progressive and there are too many complaints to believe. They are also not part of the BBB which gives me suspicions anyways. Shop around and look into each one. Just because a company quotes you a good price at first does mean it'll stay like that. To me a cheap price isn't all, if I can't rely on them and get costumer service then the cheap rates mean nothing/
