hey guys, im goin out riding with a friend of mine today and he has a 05 harley vrod and he keeps talking that its the fastest production bike that harley makes, is there any chance that vrod with run with my 06 cbr1000rr..thanks

 

Uh..........NO! No way in hell that beast is keepin up wit u. Ive heard that they r fast but they aint beatin a bike that is made to race as soon as u take it off the showroom floor. Then again he might keep up a lil in the twisties but i doubt it, it just looks way to heavy to me

the 69cui Vrod twin measures out into slight over 1135cc

with 74 Ftlbs of torque

all the horsepower claims are between 115 and 130

quarter miles are within the 11 second range

top speed is only 130ish with a wet weight of 620 lbs

basically it looks to me that from a stop an aggressive Vrod rider will outrun a scared 1KRR rider

on a roll the weight advantage will help and if you have the guts just hold the throttle wide open even if he does get ahead of you your top end is almost 40 mph higher
you will eventually catch up
