Hey There,i am in the process of having my swing arm powder coated and i have noticed that my swing arm is filled with some sort of polystyrene or something like that as underneath on 1 side their is a hole about an inch across with this stuff coming out can you help as the powder coater is concerned that he may damage my swinger,as the coating process goes to 190 degrees celcius.


Can anyboby help if metal cant help

ah...No, no problem with the swingarm been powdercoat it. The stuff you're looking at it's actually the same stuff you use at home to seal a crack on a window or something like that. IT's just a foam inside to give the swingarm a more solid sound to it (that's why they have so much problems chroming them, it floats, doesn't sink under the chrome)

I can`t see there being a problem really, posting it public means we can all get the question answered. I was thinking of getting mine done and now thats a question I know the answer too. ;)
