Best CBR or Honda for big guys?
I am 6ft 3, 210lbs and looking at a new CBR. Regarding Ergos, I have ridden the ST13000 and it fits like a glove, but am looking at a CBR or Interceptor for next spring (so the new 08 is a possibility if it's worth the extra bucks). Any thoughts on which bikes might fit better and any mods that would help longer rides be more tolerable?
Thanks in advance......

RE: Best CBR or Honda for big guys?
i just got my 06 a few weeks ago and did a 300+ mile day on it. not as comfy as would have liked it. was ok in the twisty bits but the ride home was harsh. the vfr is way more roomy then the cbr and lighter then the st1300. what do you want speed/handling or ergos/comfort? i almost got the 07 vfr in red white and blue, but got the cbr cheaper. and was looking for better handling.

I am 6'5" 220 lbs and I feel fine on my 06 1krr. Last summer I did1500 miles in3 days, twice. I will admit that at the end of each day I was tired as I was riding in the mountians of CA and CO. But each morning I was up and ready to ride again. I am not one of those guys that justbuzzes around town. When I go out for a ride, I usually do about 300 miles for a daily ride. I keep in pretty good shape so that may help some.

I've owned a CBR1100XX for 14,000miles and it would be a great bike for: you lots and lots of power, lots of room (especially with Buell pegs)and its a handsome machine
I've got a CBR1000RR now and its a great machine but if i were any taller (I'm 5'11) I dont think i would be very comfy on it. I put on 300 mile days pretty regularly without any real discomfort
but the XX would be best for you

If I was going to be doing 60% of the riding out in the country. I wouldn'tbe ona cbr. I would pass on theVFR too. The securityIwould get in the corners v/s a heavier bikewouldn't beenough to make up for the loss in torque for me.That &it's just too freakin ugly. An ST or an FJare plentycapable in the corners. The Japanese know how to build a good focused machine.100 lbs.of torque in a bigger machine is what they build for the job I think your talking about.
I went on a ride this weekend with about twenty other sportbikes. We stopped to gas up about 120 miles out. I headed back because the pace was too fast for me to be fun. When I did head back & there was no need to hitit like there was a copafter me.I wished I was on something more suited for the ride back.
