I did find some adjustable footpegs from cycle pirates. Just need to see if they will lower my foot position a little.

Even though my Helibars are en route, I decided to order new clip-ons from Swatt Motorcycles. For those (like me) looking for some additional height over stock to help keep weight off my wrists, they offer about 1 1/2" above stock, with about 3/4" back. They have a 6 degree angle (rather than Honda's 9 degree), and come in either black or silver for $159.
Cheaper than the Helibars by $120, and don't add to the width of the handlebars.
I'll post a review when I get them and get them installed.

I have a 1991 1000F-L. You guys are referring to newer machines but if I could improve my ride I'd want to go up 50 mm or so (I think). I'd be interested to hear your Helibar experience. Can't wait for you to get them fitted and report back. I'll see if I can find something to suit my old girl if you think it's improved things for you. I don't have arthritis yet but after 100 miles in the seat sometimes I wonder. My wrists and shoulders some days really feel stiff when I get off. It's not what motorcycling is about.

Thanks for all of the info guys. I'm going to get a set for my 06 1000RR. As stated earlier the new updated bars no longer require replacing the front brake lines for those who may not have been interested in going that route. They've now lowered the price of the bars to 279.00 without the brake lines. I heard that they also added alignment pins like the stock bars have for setting the angle of the controls. I found a comparison photo on the Heli Bar website which shows an obvious difference from stock.

that's a great pic comparing the two, and glad Heli added it. I did decide to return my Helis today, and am going with the Swatt Motorcycle clip-ons instead. Will report back my findings once they are on.
Should give me about an 1 1/2" higher than stock and about 3/4" back. While I never even took them out of the box, my impression from all I've read is that the Helis are quality products, perhaps just too much adjustment in too many dimensions for me.
