Default Alarm System Poll

I would like to see how many people out there are protecting their investments and how they are doing it.

Please add any information to this thread about your personal experience with alarm systems.

Interesting, you classify a bike as an investment? I would have never thought of that.

I recommend a thick chain from the rear wheel to something stationary (if you can find one). Then a cable lock from the rear wheel to the subframe. It will take theives some time before the strip the bike apart. Sprocket/disk locks dont do crap.

Scorpio, SRi500 Very easy installation with a wiring harness and great to have the engine kill, perimeter sensor, and remote

a few hundred bux for a little peace of mind seems like a fair trade - i mean sure if they really want the bike they'll get it but at least it'll be screamin when it goes

scorpio alarm system http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HB-DFuwSuko

that's my bike and my alarm testing - all works brillinent.. the only thing is the range of the remote - i put the antenna as straight as i could (not vertical, horizontal).. need to figure out what's up about that, but besides that it's a great system.

.

alekinci, +1 on la pistola! [sm=shootshoot.gif]

Vermino, Does the remote have to be in range for the paging system to work? How much of a range do you currently get? I think I might add that to my lock-and-chain security system.
