I just bought a michelin pilot power 2ct 190 55 17. wanted to be able to lean in on the bike harder. figured theese would help. Just seems like the 50 makes it harder to drop in a corner. First time to use a 55 any recomendations? thankyou for your replys and reviews on a 55 tire. 2006 1000rr.

Yea I never realized how god damn difficult it is to get the damn 06 to lean,... until I got my 08.. can't even compare... but I never tried getting a 55 tire... maybe I'll do that and see what happens thanx for the idea... though my input is useless just wanted to let you know you kinda helped me out. :-)

Needed a new rear tire in a pinch...before i went down to Deals gap last summer.
Buddy of mine said he'd been running 180/55 on his R1 for a while and said he like it better...Same guy had a spare Diablo Corsa III in a 180/55 he sold me at a good price.
Slapped it on there adjusted the rear suspension to my weight and headed to Deals Gap for the week....
Let me tell ya it made a noticable differece in the switch-back turns down there...it seemed to flip side to side a lot better for me.
Maybe try throwing a 180/55 on there and see if you like it.
